Partners and Contributions:

The project is funded through private resources. No State or Federal funds are being used. We believe that through a cooperative endeavor we can complete our goals and provide a benefit for generations to come. The State will benefit from the knowledge gained, from the receipt of artifacts, from our in-depth research, and from our investment. The resource benefits from discovery, research, documentation, education, conservation and preservation activities.

The project will make increasing investments in the area for additional operational facilities, research labs, and for a public display facility. Our work provides an increase in knowledge about the area's waters. No formal exploration activities have been conducted in the area prior to this endeavor. We hope to increase awareness and educational opportunities and to help enrich our State's cultural heritage and historical knowledge.
